City of Fountains School is searching for an InterimLead Administrator to join us in stewarding a thriving, relationship - centered learning community for the 2026–2027 school year. This one-year term serves as a foundation for the future, with the possibility of the position becoming permanent based on mutual fit and school needs. This is a unique opportunity for a leader who feels called to honor the deep developmental mission of an education inspired by the teachings of Rudolf Steiner while providing steady, visionary, and skillful organizational leadership.
Position Overview:
The Lead Administrator plays a central role in shaping and stewarding the structures, systems, and capacities that enable the school to operate smoothly, grow sustainably, and remain faithful to its ideals.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Lead Administrator works in close partnership with both the Board and the Faculty, and supervises the administrative staff. As the visible leader of day-to-day operations, this individual is a thoughtful communicator who fosters transparency, professionalism, trust, and collaborative governance across the entire school community.
Above all, we seek a leader who can build bridges—between governance bodies, faculty, families, staff, donors, and the wider COFS community—while holding the school’s long-term ideals with clarity and care.
City of Fountains School offers parent/toddler classes, mixed-age kindergarten, 1st–8th grades, specialty subject classes, and homeschool enrichment programs — all based upon Waldorf education methods. The school year runs September 1, 2026, through May 28, 2027.

Preferred professional Experience & Qualifications:
Experience in Waldorf education or familiarity with progressive/experiential education
Ideally a minimum of 2–5 years of school or nonprofit leadership experience (Waldorf or independent school preferred) or equivalent.
Demonstrated understanding of strategic planning, financial sustainability, budgeting, and organizational leadership
Experience overseeing operations, facilities, and administrative teams or equivalent work/life experience.
Comfort working in consensus-based and collaborative governance structures
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including conflict resolution
Experience with fundraising, advancement, and community engagement
Familiarity with Google Workspace, Squarespace, email marketing platforms, and Student Information Systems

City of Fountains School is searching for a teacher to lead our rising First Grade class for the 2026-2027 school year.
The Elementary Grades program meets Monday- Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., August through May.
Ideal candidates will have Waldorf teacher training, experience working in a Waldorf-inspired classroom or a willingness to expand on their understanding of Waldorf education. (Waldorf training is not required, but familiarity with it is valued; above all, we seek experienced, dedicated, joyful teachers.)
We look to our teachers to have strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to plan and augment instruction, and participate in school festivals. We are looking for individuals that are committed to collaborative work with their colleagues and will help nurture the continued growth of our school.

City of Fountains School is searching for a Star Garden Kindergarten and Extended Day Assistant Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year.
The Kindergarten class meets Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Extended care is available Monday through Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. during the school year, which runs from September 1, 2026, through May 28, 2027.
The right candidate is compassionate and able to help foster a classroom environment of reverence and loving joy. Ideal candidates will have experience working with young children and familiarity with Waldorf education (Waldorf training is not required, but familiarity is valued). Above all, we seek dependable, warm-hearted individuals who bring presence, initiative, and a spirit of collaboration to their work.
Preferred candidates demonstrate:
Experience working with young children
Strong organizational skills and dependability
Ability to maintain a clean and orderly classroom
Willingness to follow the direction of the Kindergarten Lead Teacher to provide proper care for children
Ability to assist during all classroom activities and transitions, including cooking and cleaning dishes
Comfort spending a portion of each day outdoors in all types of weather
A desire to model inner capacities such as compassionate listening, gratitude, stillness, warmth, and creativity
An understanding of the importance of play
A warm and welcoming approach to students and parents

City of Fountains School is looking for energetic and motivated substitute teachers to work with students from kindergarten through Grade 8. The best candidates for this posititon are flexible, enjoy working with children and have some sort of education experience. Successful candidates will have to undergo a background check.
Responsibilities:
Follow regular teacher’s lesson plans in a way that ensures consistency and optimal learning, and that encourages students to participate.
Modify teaching styles to fit the learning styles of various students.
Maintain a well-managed classroom and positive learning environment.
Supervise students out of class such as in hallways and at playgrounds.
