Josh North
Grade 3 Teacher
I joined COFS in 2021, beginning as a kindergarten assistant in Star Garden. I transitioned into a lead teaching role with a middle school class for two years before graduating them and looping down to first grade last year with my current class! What draws me to teaching at COFS and continues to inspire me is the holistic approach we take to education—our work goes far beyond intellectual learning, nurturing students' emotional and physical well-being as well.
Outside of the classroom, I am a husband to my wife Lauren and father to our daughter Juniper. We also have a four-year-old pup named Grey who brings plenty of excitement to our daily adventures! I practice Qigong and Tai Chi, play golf and disc golf, and am an avid reader. I love being outside, traveling and exploring when possible, and spending quality time with my family—whether we're out discovering new places or simply cozied up at home together.
