Joanna Weidler- Lewis

INTERIM LEAD ADMINISTRATOR

I am excited to introduce myself to the broader City of Fountains community. I am likely a familiar face to some of the families and most of the students, as I have been subbing since 2023. I was moved to become a substitute after receiving tokens of appreciation on my doorstep for being part of the neighborhood – one of the many ways CoF students embody the school’s values.

My professional background is in education, learning, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. I hold a Ph.D. in Learning Sciences and Human Development and an MA in Philosophy from the University of Colorado Boulder. Throughout most of my career, I have worked in higher education, with a focus on teacher education, child and adolescent development, and designing equitable learning spaces.

My career has taken me across the country, but I grew up only a few blocks from here on 71st Terrace – I explored these same blocks as the CoF students, and you will continue to see me walk them with my dog Rowlfie. I have two daughters in college, a husband, and a large extended family all close by. I look forward to sharing more of myself as I get to know each of you more deeply.
